This piece is inspired by my own neighbourhood in Westmount, Edmonton, Alberta, where every fall the streets are covered in an incredible canopy of changing leaves. Walking under it feels almost surreal. The light filters through in a way that makes everything glow. That is the feeling I wanted to capture here. The sense of being completely surrounded by colour and quiet.
